NATIONAL BIODYNAMIC GROUPS

  • Anthroposophical Society in America: nurtures the life of the soul based on spiritual science arising out of the work of Rudolf Steiner.
  • Demeter Association: Certifies farms, wineries, and products as Biodynamic.®
  • Demeter Biodynamic Trade Association: launched in August 2007, the DBTA is dedicated to promoting and increasing public awareness of Demeter certified Biodynamic farms, gardens, and agricultural products. The DBTA is a resource and educational body for the trade, media, and public on Biodynamic practices and certifying criteria and will provide oversight to uphold Demeter certifications and protect the Biodynamic trademark.   • The Nature Institute: A non-proft organization dedicated to developing a sense-based approach to science and the natural world. We produce publications, and offer lectures, courses and seminars on various aspects of qualitative science, including whole-organism biology, and raise questions about modern relationships to technology. Additionally, we offer an online journal (12 times per year) edited by Steve Talbott, called NetFuture, which focuses more on the Technology and Human Responsibility aspects of our work.
  • The Pfeiffer Institute: The Pfeiffer Center is dedicated to education, research and outreach in farming, gardening, and beekeeping. An important goal is to raise awareness of biodynamics as the most holistic approach to caring for the land.
  • Rudolf Steiner Audio: collection of audio versions of Steiner's works, including the Agriculture Course.

  • Community Homestead: A non-profit organization comprising seven households and forty people. Together, with our developmentally challenged peers, we tend a certified organic seven-acre garden, three-acre orchard, and a Holstein dairy herd.
  • Elixir Farm: Organic and biodynamic Chinese and North American medicinal plant seeds.
  • Flowers by the Sea: A Biodynamic market garden in Elk, located on the Pacific Ocean approximately 150 miles north of San Francisco in temperate Northern California.
  • Fragrant Farms: Mark Trela raises peonies and other cut flowers biodynamically in raised beds with biodynamic compost and all the preps in New Harmony, Indiana. It may surprise you to know how many of the ‘fresh flowers’ at your local florist's were cut months ago in some distant part of the globe. Mark's fresh cut flowers, as well as his dried flower arrangments, are not only radiantly healthy, but they also contain no chemicals, neither from production nor preservation.
