North American Biodynamic Apprenticeship Program > Participating Mentor Farms

Ferme Fleur de Laurier: Originally from Northern Abitibi in Quebec, Laurier is a gold mine in farming, practicing biodynamics since 1978. We want to develop more into seeds, textile and a learning center for the future. The farm organism is having a new impulse with the buildings of a ecological house and barn for 2014-2015!

Skills that can be learned: Farms are about building community. In 2014, we are planning to build a natural cob-strawbale house, while doing small gardening! You are very welcome to get involve on this new project and spread the word about natural buildings!

Diversity of produce and livestock: Seeds are the path we want to work more on these days. We are growing lots of diversified fruits (Grapes, apple, pears, blackberries, blueberries, gooseberries, plums) and hundreds of different varieties of vegetables! Dairy sheep and cows will come in early 2015.

Size of farm: 8 acres lot with 2 acres on intensive small scale gardening

Mentor farmers: Laurier Chabot & Laurie Brouillard
