The care for manure and compost severs the health and fertility of the soil. The surest indicator of the inherent quality and health of its products is the health and spontaneous performance of a self contained independent farm with its plants and animals.

This is the fourth attempt to present an overview of the existingmethods of processing compost and manure for the benefit of practical farmers, gardeners and foresters. These methods are the result of the 1924 Koberwitz impulse.
