Work/Experience Desired:
We need folks who are very good drivers, and if you know how to drive a big truck and/or have a CDL, we'll be really happy. You should also enjoy chatting with and educating our subscribers, plus you'll need to be able to lift (up to) 50-pound boxes with a smile on your face. Some days will be long and hot, but others will be short and cool. We need you to be reliable and flexible.
Education Opportunity:
Because we want our interns to have a comprehensive agricultural experience, we are considering having you work either once a week, or once every other week, on one of our growers' farms.
Stipend/Compensation:
$1000 per month with an end of season bonus for completing the season.
Housing:
Unfortunately, we cannot provide housing.
Meals:
Produce and eggs are available for personal use.
Details about Internship/Apprenticeship:
You will be involved in all aspects of our operation: buying, procuring, researching, distributing, farming, administrating, and organizing. We'll be straight with you -- it's not just a job, it's a hell of a lotta work. But it's very, very rewarding work, and loads of fun, we promise. Schedules will vary from week to week, but will average 40 to 50 hours per week.
