Our first year apprentices work with and learn about the interrelationships between our milking herd of 60 grass-fed cows, our rotational grazing system, the twelve-acres of mixed vegetable fields, and get an overview of the administration of our 285-member Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.

White Rose Farm, a biodynamic farm near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, seeks live-in interns for its 2010 season. We are seeking both experienced farm staff and energetic new comers. The farm will provide room, food from the garden and a modest stipend. The farm is located in a beautiful, rural setting about 60 miles from Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

The Community Supported Garden at Genesis Farm (CSG) has been a pioneer in the community food movement for over 20 years. The farm started as a garden with roadside sales and grew to a CSA that includes over a hundred different vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers, seasonal or year round distribution, fields newly dedicated to grain, oats, laying chickens and a thriving apprenticeship program. The CSG is seeking apprentices for the 2010 season (April to mid-November).

The Sankanac CSA in Chester County, PA is looking for 1 to 6 month interns, from April 1st to September 30th, to help us with our Demeter certified Biodynamic gardens. We need interns in both our 8 acre, 125 member Summer CSA and our 25 member Winter storage vegetable garden. The Winter vegetables are draft horse powered. Interns will work along side farmers and are welcome to join SAITA, a local initiative to provide education and farm tours to aspiring farmers. A stipend of $130/ month is eligible for interns of three months or more.

I am a hard worker with ranching experience (beef cattle and hay). My investigation into biodynamic agriculture has really peaked my interest and I see it becoming the dominating agriculture practice in the future. Humanity is becoming more aware of where their food comes from and are demanding sustainable and healthy options. This is a movement I want to be a part of.
