Event Description

Presented in collaboration with the Institute for Mindful Agriculture.

Our current times pose a great and urgent challenge to us, which can be approached by the following question: How can we learn to live in “right relationship” once again with our earth, with each other, and within our own individual beings? The Institute for Mindful Agriculture will pose this question in a daylong, highly interactive workshop. We will begin with brief presentations by two panels: one of spiritual practitioners with a deep relationship to sacred earth practices and agriculture, and the second of food activists and entrepreneurs striving to bring conscious awareness and collaboration into our current food system to shape a more socially just and moral food economy. During the day, individual and small group conversations and artistic work will help us explore this impulse: Re-discovering the sacred within agriculture and connecting it with a truly compassionate economy to help heal the three great divides we have created within ourselves, and between each other and our earth.
