Event Description

** Event is SOLD OUT **

This workshop will provide a complete introduction to the nine biodynamic preparations. We will outline their history and relationship to the soil, plants, animals, the earth and the cosmos, and why today's farms and gardens need the preparations. We will describe how and when are they made, stirred, and applied in a practical way, in a variety of situations from small urban gardens to large-scale farms. We will review the fundamentals of making and using the six compost preps, the importance of Equisetum for fertility, and the significance of barrel compost. This workshop will incorporate slide talks, stories from the three mentors, and hands-on making of a preparation all culminating to a group stirring and spraying/application.

Registration includes bus transport departing from the Santa Fe Convention Center.

The workshop fee does not include meals. If you would like a boxed lunch, please sign up for Thursday lunch or the Thursday - Sunday meal package when you register.
