Dan McKanan holds the Emerson Chair at Harvard Divinity School, where he does research and teaches classes on spirituality and social transformation. He is the author of four books, and is currently completing a new book on anthroposophy and the environmental movement. During spring 2016 he organized a Harvard conference on “The Spirit of Sustainable Agriculture” that brought together farmers, spiritual leaders, activists and scholars from a wide range of religious, spiritual and cultural traditions.
