Delmar McComb is co-owner, with his partner Carin Fortin, of Blossom's Farm in Corralitos, California. He is also Director of Horticulture for Suncrest Nurseries Inc. in Watsonville, California, where he has introduced biodynamic practices into this prominent California wholesale nursery. Suncrest has also now a Demeter certified Biodynamic line of plants — quite unique in the nursery industry. Prior to this, Delmar gardened professionally for nearly 30 years serving as horticulturist, consultant, and designer of many gardens, both public and private throughout California. His interest in biodynamics began 28 years ago, and his passion for its art and science only continues to grow and unfold. He is a member of the Agriculture Section of the Anthroposophical Society in America as well as a Steering Committee member of the Biodynamic Association of Northern California. Also an accomplished operatic tenor, he finds the polarities and synergies between the differing endeavors a source of constant inspiration.
