Elemental Beings and Painting with Nature

This workshop focuses on art as a process, not an outcome. Together we will forage for different pieces of nature to use as the bristles for handmade brushes, and, using various types of paint (including a handmade version), we will use our brushes on paper and cloth to feel the different way different paint flows from the "brush" and how different bits of nature meet the blank canvas. Children will walk away with their own piece of art in hand and hopefully with a different eye for exploring nature.

Using watercolor paint to develop our ability to “see the unseen,” we find the treasures in nature, the elemental beings in the earth, water, air, and fire. All ages, beginners welcome.
