Drew Baker

Drew is the farmer at Old Westminster Winery and Burnt Hill Farm in Maryland. In 2011, at age 22, he planted the first 7,600 grapevines on the family farm. Each year he travels the world studying his craft and honing his skills. In the spring of 2019, after two years spent tilling the earth, cultivating cover crops, and enlivening the farm through biodynamic practices, he planted the first 22,000 vines at Burnt Hill Farm — a thoughtful mix of old-world grape varieties and native and multi-heritage varieties that can be farmed organically and produce revolutionary wines that are unique and truly American.
