Estancia Belcampo Assistant Farm Manager - Uruguay

Estancia Belcampo Assistant Farm Manager

About Belcampo Uruguay

At Belcampo Uruguay, we are producing hundreds of varieties of heritage
fruits and vegetables on three hectares of biodynamically-managed farmland
near Jose Ignacio. The farm also raises a wide-variety of animals from sheep
and cattle for meat to buffalo for milk on three hundred adjacent hectares
of pasture. In 2012, visitors and locals can sample the products of the farm
at Mercado Belcampo Cantina y Almacen in downtown Jose Ignacio. The Farm at
Estancia Belcampo will provide the Mercado with all fresh products as
available for both prepared foods and the Farmer Market.

In 2012, Estancia Belcampo will open a farm-based restaurant at the Casco
Viejo on the farm. A brewery will also be constructed on site, beginning
this same year. On-site wine and olive oil production, using the farms
grapes and olives, are expected to launch in 2015. These farm-based
commercial ventures will be of utmost importance to the Belcampo brand in
years going forward. As we grow, a principal tenant of the Estancia will be
the agritourism program, which will be based on providing guests the
opportunity to learn about traditional on-farm artisan food crafting. We are
looking for team members who are dedicated to preserving our food traditions
and environment through teaching as well as the production of high-quality,
responsible food products.
