Camp Glen Brook in rural New Hampshire, maintains a small diversified biodynamic farm that produces food for summer campers and school groups much of the year. The camp has an opening for a farm intern to assist the camp farmer throughout the year, February through mid-November.
This job entails processing maple syrup, operating several greenhouses, planting, tilling, mulching and weeding more than an acre of farm garden, applying the BD preparations, tending farm animals, handling farm wastes and compost, processing fresh raw produce, maintaining farm tools and infrastructure, and the like.
Camp Glen Brook offers a modest salary ($250/week) plus room and board. During the busy summer camp season, the farm intern works six days a week. Some additional weekend work is required on occasion.
