We have 150 acres in the foothills of North Carolina near a little town called Casar, about halfway between Asheville and Charlotte. There is a 1 1/2 acre lake and several springs and creeks. About half of it is open. It is more land than we two can keep up with. We're looking for a person or some people who would like to live here and do some organic and/or biodynamic farming. We are offering the use of some acreage. We are not asking for rent and we do have some primitive accommodations available. Open to any ideas or proposals. Our ultimate goal would be to create a biodynamic agricultural community, using alternative building techniques for housing, etc.
Please note that ours is a no-kill farm. We are vegetarians and are sensitive to the karma resulting from slaughtering and eating animals. Chickens, goats, cows, sheep and other animals that produce milk, eggs, fiber, etc., may be kept, but only for their produce or for pets, or both.
