Fall Michaelmas Meeting

Saturday-Sunday, September 28th - 29th:Many thanks to Live Power Community Farm for hosting our Michaelmas Meeting in Covelo this fall. Live Power farms 50 acres using solar energy and horse-drawn ploughing.  They cultivate vegetable gardens and care for a variety of animals.  CSA members receive weekly baskets of biodynamic vegetables grown on the farm.  Gloria and Stephen Decater have educated countless apprentices, farmers and school children about biodynamic agriculture.

SATURDAY:On early Saturday morning we perform Honoring the Cow, an animal sacrifice and study. This will be followed by a catered breakfast. At 9 am we will circle up to begin Michaelmas and Prep Making activities with Harald Hoven, master biodynamic prep maker and teacher. We will be working with horn manure, chamomile, dandelion, and oak bark. After a Potluck Lunch , there will be a Live Power Community Farm Tour. In the afternoon, the featured speaker will be John Bloom, exploring:

The Middle Path in a Threefold World4 pm Saturday, September 28thand 8:15 am Sunday, September 29th

"How can we look at Threefolding with contemporary eyes, understand it as a framework for social development and, hopefully, transformation? Where and how does justice show up? Where and how can we move between verticality and individuality of spirit vs. horizontal and social experience?" John Bloom is the Vice President of the Organization Center, RDF Social Finance, in San Francisco.
