Biodynamics 101 Workshop

A how-to workshop and discussion for farmers and gardeners wishing to get started using biodynamic preparations 500 (horn manure), 501 (horn silica) and Barrel Compost (BC).  This workshop is geared toward those who have heard of the theory of biodynamics and would like more practical help.

Chris Boettcher and Uli Hack will discuss what, when and why of spraying the preps.  We will mix the preps, stir and apply them to field and garden, weather permitting.  A compost pile will also be inoculated.  Bring all your questions and concerns!  Note: For farmers who are interested in field spraying, the speakers will discuss equipment, nozzle settings and any modifications that may be needed. (Feel free to bring your sprayers along for hands on modification suggestions)

Saturday October 27th, 2010 – 9am to 4pm at the Farm of Chris and Gabi Boettcher, 44046 Moncrieff Road, Brussels, Ontario.  Cost: Donation to the Society for Biodynamic Farming and Gardening in Ontario.

This event includes a POT LUCK lunch : Don’t forget your dishes, cutlery, cups etc., along with your best pot luck dish.
