Since Hugh Williams (see above) will be in Ontario, we are wanting to take advantage of the opportunity and make a further day for specifically tapping more deeply into his biodynamic knowledge and experience. Since it’s a bit of a guess how suitable a weekday in early January (along with the seasonal weather risks) will be for many members, we need to get a sense of how many would attend before finalizing arrangements with Hugh.
The proposed details are:
Date: Wednesday January 9th, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Location: Creemore, Ontario – either on the Farm of Graham Corbett and Amy Ouchterlony (Fiddlefoot Farm), or at a nearby community hall (depending on the number interested in attending)
Workshop Focus: Partly on biodynamic orcharding and partly on deepening our understanding of the biodynamic preparations. Feedback from those planning to attend will determine how the time and subject focus will be organized.
Workshop Cost: We’d like to cover the majority of Hugh’s speaking fee through participant registration fees. If there are a minimum of 12 participants interested at $65 per person, we can go ahead with plans. If there are more than 16 attending then the cost will be reduced on a sliding scale based on the total number of participants.
Lunch: A potluck lunch will be organized. Please bring something to share with the group.
If you’re interested in participating in this event, please contact Heather Thoma by Thursday December 20th at the latest (earlier is much preferred and appreciated) firstname.lastname@example.org or 705-368-0460.
