First Annual North Coast Farmers' Convergence

Primary tabs

This is not just another meeting--it's a first ever convergence of Food Producers, and those who work with them, from Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, Sonoma and Marin counties.

Presented by North Coast Opportunities, Barra Winery,Savings Bank of Mendocino County, and Ukiah Natural Foods Coop, the day aims to bring together food producers to network, share skills, compare ideas, and celebrate the vital profession of farming. The day will include presentations from producers who are engaged in innovative and exciting projects, a series of facilitated discussions on topics affecting farmers--new farming models, financing opportunities, innovative marketing techniques, creative field and post-harvest practices--a skill-share session, a catered dinner featuring local food, beer, and wine, and live music fromFunkacilin.

A little more on the day:

North Coast Opportunities-Community Action is excited to host this free event for our region's farmers, ranchers, and food producers.  We understand that it is difficult to take time away from the farm and we appreciate every effort to arrive at 1pm to participate in the Convergence.  Snacks will be provided, but please be sure to eat a good lunch before arrival.

The evening's events, including cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, are generously offered by our sponsors to celebrate you and the good work we'll accomplish during the Convergence.  We may need to turn people away at the door if we reach capacity, so call or email us if you know that you will be arriving later than 1pm.
