*Biodynamic Gardening Workshop with Abby Porter

What makes those vegetables so sweet?"

Sat. March 17th 9:00am-1 at Potomac Crescent Waldorf School 3846 King St. Alexandria Virginia

Biodynamics is holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food, and nutrition. Biodynamic farmers strive to create a diversified, balanced farm ecosystem that generates health and fertility as much as possible from within the farm itself. Preparations made from fermented manure, minerals and herbs are used to help restore and harmonize the vital life forces of the farm and to enhance the nutrition, quality, and flavor of the food being raised. At this hands-on workshop, join Abby Porter, daughter of biodynamics pioneer Josephine Porter and Abby is a formerly a board member at the Josephine Porter Institute for Applied Biodynamics, as she shows you how to get started on your Biodynamic Garden.

Abby Porter will be sponsored by the Anthroposophical Society the Greater Washington Branch

Cost: Free. Donations accepted.       Please bring a lunch.

The workshop will include classroom presentation and hands on work in PCWS's garden. Please dress in comfortable clothing for garden work. Please note that this workshop is for adults only.
