Biodynamics as practical, guiding principles on a large farm?  Absolutely!  Join farmer Nathaniel Thompson on a tour of a large Biodynamic farm, as he explains the way that biodynamic principles influence production in this multi-faceted operation.  Nathaniel will explain how new farmers, and new-to-Biodynamics farmers can put these principles to work on their own farms, improving production and uniting the farmer with the land.  Special attention will be given to the production, harvest and handling of salad greens which are a main enterprise in action during the summer at Remembrance Farm.  Wind down after the field day with a potluck supper—bring a dish to share!

Remembrance Farm is a 100-acre Biodynamic vegetable farm located in Trumansburg, NY, in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region.  Remembrance specializes in growing salad greens and root vegetables for sale year-round to stores and restaurants throughout New York State, and to individual households through a cooperative Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program known as the Full Plate Farm Collective.  The farm also produces organic eggs from 900 laying hens, some grain, and vegetable seeds.
