The Chesapeake BioDynamic Network of Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia gathers for activities Saturday June 2-10:30am-4:00pm at the Christian Community Garden Grounds next to the University of Maryland at 4221 Metzerott Rd in College Park, Maryland. CBDN concerns itself with safe sustainable ecological ethical agriculture-gardening-
landscaping. Anyone who has interest in biodynamics is warmly welcomed.

*We shall look over Lecture 4 of Steiner's Agriculture Course 10:30 am-12:00 -all are welcome

Biodynamic Gardening Workshop ($20) from 1pm-4pm with Abby Porter of the Josephine Porter Institute
Our Workshop leader is Abby Porter who grew up on a biodynamic dairy farm with her mother, Josephine Porter who started making the biodynamic preparations after attending a Biodynamic conference in Spring Valley NY in 1947. She supplied the preparations nationally to farmers and gardeners from 1956 until her passing in 1984. Abby is currently co-editor of Josephine Porter Institute's periodical Applied Biodynamics, and previously served on their Board.
*We will cover the use of horn silica (#501) and make pre-potentized horn silica (#501)
*We will review spring and summer biodynamic practices and how to help your garden and plants be more resilient in the face of weather extremes.
*We will empty the biodynamic barrel compost (BC) pit and share-You will also go home with a unit of BC for your home garden (bring a jar)
*We will stir and spray biodynamic preps barrel compost (BC) and/or horn manure (#500)
Amazing Biodynamic Coffee will be on sale as a fundraiser for biodynamics
