This workshop provides an overview of agricultural trends that can compel farm owners and families to explore estate planning options and preservation tools to help secure their farms for future farming opportunities. Learn about issues to consider as you begin to develop, communicate and implement a succession plan for your farm, and what preservation options, such as permanent conservation easements, are available to help you make the best decision for your farm's future. Also, hear how one local land trust leverages local, state and federal funding to purchase agricultural conservation easements on several projects in the Madison region.
