Transplanting the seedlings of this awakening from the hoop house into the field
Organic Spring 2020 has a mission to take what germinates so well in local practice and give it room to spread out its roots. The practices we know that thrive on our own organic farms have found enough fertile ground in the public arena to engage the conventional ag community into incorporating more organic practices into their own operations.
Our Town Hall Agenda includes:
- The COVID-19 pandemic and the shared experiences of the organic community with the loss of markets, distribution bottlenecks and labor shortages.
- Steps we all can make to build resilience into the food system to better prepare for the next food security crisis, and
- Scaling up organic agriculture to make it the norm.
