The relationship between plants and insects is one of kinship, dependence, and vital importance for the whole household of nature. Understanding the role of insect life on the land and especially the work of the pollinators is no small mystery, but a vital one to support. Drawing from Rudolf Steiner’s innovative approach towards nature, agriculture, and the world of insects, this webinar will bring insights paired with practical experience from the living laboratory of Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary in Floyd, Virginia. Tools and methods for supporting pollinators and insect life on the farm, garden, and landscape will be paired with an understanding of the essential role of pollinators as part of the biodynamic farm organism and ecosystem. We’ll talk about bees, wasps, hornets, ants, aphids, buterflies, beetles, birds, and their partners in the plant world!
