For its 20 year’s anniversary, Eco-PB, the European Consortium of organic plant breeders, together with the Federation, IFOAM EU, Arche Noah and Engagement biobreeding organises a public event on November 9 in Brussels on ‘How to make organic plant breeding mainstream?’. Here is to the detailed programme. The event will take place physically at The Hotel Brussels (Vista room) and online on Zoom for the afternoon session.

The morning will be dedicated to different workshops accessible only for members of the partner organisations: 

  • Topic 1: How to make organic plant breeding mainstream?
  • Topic 2: Organic Varieties – Build together a working definition of organic varieties 
  • Topic 3: Seed Marketing Laws – Set common goals for the ongoing reform
  • Topic 4: Organic Heterogeneous Material 

The afternoon will be a livestreamed public event. The outcomes of the workshops will be presented followed by a fishbowl discussion on how to make organic plant breeding mainstream with various stakeholders and politicians.
