This intensive is the culmination of the biodynamic workshop series. It brings a deepening to the practical activities learned and will include working with compost, making some of the compost preparations, and “barrel compost” (compound preparation), stirring and applying the horn manure preparation, and much more.
Every morning will begin with some plant observation and study in the beautiful Raphael Garden. There will also be an opportunity to answer questions about the practical work that may have arisen during the year.
Afterwards, Cynthia Hoven will present daily lectures that will give a comprehensive insight into the philosophy underlying biodynamics. Topics will include the four elements, the four kingdoms of nature, and the levels of consciousness in each of them, and aspects of cosmic and earthly evolution. Harald will then talk about the farm individuality, and show how each of these come to life in the real-life practice of biodynamics. Activities will also be enlivened and deepen through the experience of eurythmy, a modern art of movement developed by Rudolf Steiner that works with the dynamic force of life.
