What does it mean to view our farms as living biodiverse organisms? How can we manage our farms using this lens? Jim Barausky will introduce the concept of the farm individuality, and then four biodynamic growers will take us on a slideshow tour of their farms, sharing some of the diverse ways that a farm organism can be co-created with nature. Monique Camp will take us through Sophia's Garden, a Demeter certified medicinal herb farm; Paula and Adam Gaska will show us Mendocino Organics, where they raise livestock, vegetables, fruit, and grain; and Matt Taylor will give us a taste of Front Porch Farm, a Biodynamic vineyard and winery which also incorporates nuts, olives, row crops, livestock and more.
