Biodynamic Farm Manager for Camphill Inspired Community
Aloha! Lokelani ‘Ohana is a budding Camphill inspired non-profit initiative on the island of Maui in Hawaii. Presently, we are inviting pioneering, self-motivated individuals that are committed to social renewal and life sharing.
Our 10-year-old biodynamic 1.5-acre farm on old Hawaiian land resides on the northeast side of the island, five minutes from the beach and near Waihee Valley, whose river brings fresh rain water to the farm.
Requirements of the farm manager position include; being an American citizen or having a valid green card, twenty-one years of age or older, fluent in English, and biodynamic certification or experience. Qualifications of the best possible candidate include; someone who is a good steward of the land, a team leader and teacher, enthusiastic, mature, responsible, good humored, kind, compassionate, patient, flexible, in good mental health, physically capable to perform and demonstrate all farm work, and to be a positive role model with the Camphill life sharing community spirit in mind. Camphill experience is highly preferred.
Experience in working with a tropical environment is preferred but not required and are happy to educate about local flora. Older fruit bearing trees grace the land along with bananas, coconuts, mango, starfruits, papaya, macadamia nut, kukui trees, guava, aquaponics, vegetables, herbs and flowers.
Monthly Stipend will be $1,000
