Temple-Wilton Community Farm has openings for a winter intern interested in biodynamic dairy farming to start December 2018. You will learn to milk and care for cows with Lincoln Geiger, who has over 30 years of experience and is a community farming pioneer as one of the co-founders of the farm. To support this work you will be provided with a private bedroom in a beautiful apartment, access to all foods produced by the farm, WiFi, and a base stipend of $500/month.
Winter Responsibilities Include:
Milking and barn chores
Helping with bottling milk
Assisting with care of calves, layer hens, farm upkeep and maintenance projects
Depending on interest and availability, the internship can continue on through the 2019 growing season with the dairy, cheese making, or CSA vegetable production.
