The New Agrarian Program (NAP) partners with skilled ranchers and farmers to offer annual apprenticeships in regenerative agriculture on working ranches and farms in NM, CO, WY, MT, and CA. Our apprentices learn from expert practitioners in full-immersion professional settings.
This program specifically targets young or beginning agrarians with a sincere commitment to life at the intersection of conservation and regenerative agriculture. Mentors in the program are dedicated stewards of the land; practice intentional, regenerative methods of food or fiber production; provide excellent animal care; and are skilled and enthusiastic teachers. Quivira Coalition supports both mentors and apprentices with monthly trainings, one-on-one support, and annual events and gatherhings.
We recommend choosing no more than 3-5 sites to apply to. On your application, you can also indicate if you'd like to be considered for other sites, if you're not offered a position at one of your top choices. If you'd like help deciding which sites might be the best fit for you, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org Apply online on our website. Applications are due December 15th!
All apprenticeships provide a monthly stipend of at least $700/month, housing, and partial board. Each opportunity is unique, and the duties/responsibilities vary depending both on the operation, and the skills/experience that you bring into the apprenticeship!
