California Waldorf School Seeks Farm Intern for 2007 Season

Summerfield Waldorf School and Farm, in rural Santa Rosa, California, announces the opening of the farm intern position for the 2007 growing season, running from March through December. Our sixteen-acre farm is located in the heart of a thriving K-12 Waldorf School and is supported by the parents of the school as an educational experience for their children. We function as a model of a family farm with the diversity of livestock (dairy, chickens and sheep), vegetable, cereal grain, hay and pasture production. The intern would participate in all aspects of the operation of this farm which would also include tractor and machine work. Further, there are opportunities for work with students and adults in an educational setting incorporating the work of the farm. The position is for a single individual and includes onsite housing and a cash stipend. Please note: An onsite interview is required of applicants for this position.
