About The FARM Institute
The FARM Institute (TFI) is an educational, working farm on 162 acres of picturesque coastal sand plain on Martha's Vineyard Island, Massachusetts. The mission of TFI is to operate a teaching farm that educates and engages children and adults in agriculture through the operations of a diverse working farm. By providing year round educational programs, TFI offers learning experiences in farming, land preservation, nutritional awareness, growing food, as well as the culture and history of Martha’s Vineyard farming.

The FARM serves as a steward of the rich traditions of Vineyard farming and strives to become a place at the center of the community where children, families and generations can once again be a part of the land. Our belief is that just about everything a person learns—values, work ethic, teamwork, commitment to community and caring for the land can be experienced on the farm. We offer many programs throughout the year including after school, school vacation, summer day camp and class field trip opportunities.
