North American Biodynamic Apprenticeship Program > Participating Mentor Farms
Roxbury Farm is located in the Hudson Valley 2½ hrs north of NYC and ½ hr south of Albany, NY. Our land is bordered on the west side by the Kinderhook Creek and on the east side by Route 9H, a main corridor in Columbia County to Albany. Our neighbors to the north are the Lukas van Alen House and on the south by the Martin Van Buren House, both important regional historic sites. We farm 125 acres of the original Martin Van Buren estate. The land has a unique ownership structure with Equity Trust holding the title and Jody and Jean-Paul holding a 99 year lease. The farm business, the farm buildings, and house are privately owned. Apprentices of Roxbury Farm have moved on to establish some of the most successful organic farming operations.
