The cost of participating in the North American Biodynamic Apprenticeship Program (NABDAP) includes an enrollment fee, due with the application, and tuition for the participating classroom study program of the apprentice's choice:

  • $100 enrollment fee: Once an apprentice has made an arrangement with a participating mentor farm, they may formally enroll in the program by submitting an application and $100 enrollment fee to the NABDAP Coordinator.

Included in the enrollment fee is a complementary 1-year introductory membership with the Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association. (New members only.)

The $100 enrollment fee is valid for 3 years, allowing apprentices 3 years to complete their on-farm training and classroom study work.

  • Tuition for Classroom Study Program: Apprentices pay tuition directly to the participating classroom study program of their choice. For details and current tuition rates, please see the classroom study program section of the NABDAP website. A payment schedule is arranged with the chosen classroom study program.

Scholarships: If tuition for the classroom study program presents an economic hardship, apprentices may apply for financial assistance through the Biodynamic Scholarship Fund. Awards are limited to officially enrolled NABDAP apprentices with demonstrated financial need. To request an application, please contact nabdap@biodynamics.com

  • On-the-job Training Component: Apprentices make their own arrangements with their mentor farms regarding any compensation.
