The Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association is seeking a professional conference planner to help organize our 2012 North American conference.

The Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Association (BDA) is a non-profit association of individuals and organizations in North America who are committed to the transformation of the whole food system, from farm to table, and who draw inspiration from the spiritual-scientific insights of Rudolf Steiner. Biodynamics is a worldwide movement for the renewal of agriculture based on an understanding of the spiritual forces at work in nature and in human social life. From this understanding, a particular form of organic farming has been developed that continues to grow and evolve around the world. For more about our work see www.biodynamics.com.

The Association holds a North American conference every other year, moving to a new region each time. Our 2012 conference will be held in the Upper Midwest, in the late fall over a long weekend. We anticipate upwards of 400 - 500 participants, over 25 breakout sessions, and an exhibit hall.

We are seeking someone with experience working with smaller non-profit organizations, familiarity with the venues of the upper Midwest, especially the greater Chicagoland area, and who would be willing & able to travel occasionally and affordably to our offices in East Troy, Wisconsin. Resonance with our mission is ideal but not required.

Please send a cover letter and resume, or make inquiries, to resumes@biodynamics.com. We will review applications as they arrive; the position will remain open until it is filled.
