Questions or Suggestions?

Introduction to Biodynamics
Introductory books recommended by our staff and board members. (See also the Introduction to Biodynamics section (link is external) on SteinerBooks' site.)
Each includes background information on the relationship between plants, earth, and the cosmos, as well as practical instructions for using the calendar to plan your farming and gardening.
Practical Biodynamics for Farmers
While not an introductory book, Rudolf Steiner's "Agriculture Course," the series of lectures he gave to European farmers in 1924 that initiated the biodynamic movement, is a core text for understanding biodynamics.
The translation we recommend is Agriculture: Spiritual Foundations for the Renewal of Agriculture (link is external), translated by Catherine E. Creeger and Malcolm Gardner. A new edition is under development, but in the meantime copies of the current version (link is external) are available through SteinerBooks. Another option is Agriculture Course: The Birth of the Biodynamic Method (link is external), translated by George Adams.
