Healing the Land through Biodynamics, an Introduction.
This workshop will be the first of a series of 4 workshops on Biodynamics with Harald Hoven. It will give an in-depth overview of what led to the introduction of Biodynamics through Rudolf Steiner in 1924, and an introduction to the leading processes that we can apply for the healing of the earth. This workshop will include the stirring and application of Horn Manure preparation (Preparation 500).Harald Hoven: After completing a biodynamic training in Germany, Harald started farming in the Sacramento, CA area. For 30 years, he worked as a farmer and teacher of biodynamics at Rudolf Steiner College, where he established a diversified small farm and trained close to 100 apprentices. Now in semi-retirement, he consults farmers, mentors young practitioners, and teaches biodynamics internationally.
Harald Hoven is a semi-retired Biodynamic farmer living in Sacramento, California. After a 4-year BD Horticulture training in his native Germany, he moved to California, where for 30 years he farmed and taught Biodynamics at Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, Ca. There he developed Raphael Garden, a highly diversified small farm, and trained close to 100 apprentices in Biodynamic farming, using the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model to market its products. Sine 2017 he has been mentoring and consulting famers, and has been teaching courses in Biodynamics, primarily at home and in Southeast Asia.
