Biodynamic Composting: Turn Waste into Gold
It is good to convert organic waste material into compost, but it is best if the components come from your own land. Learn the steps necessary for making great compost, without losing valuable nutrients. Using the biodynamic compost preparations in it will make it even more healing. This workshop will offer both theory and practice.
Harald Hoven is a semi-retired Biodynamic farmer living in Sacramento, California. After a 4-year BD Horticulture training in his native Germany, he moved to California, where for 30 years he farmed and taught Biodynamics at Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, Ca. There he developed Raphael Garden, a highly diversified small farm, and trained close to 100 apprentices in Biodynamic farming, using the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model to market its products. Sine 2017 he has been mentoring and consulting famers, and has been teaching courses in Biodynamics, primarily at home and in Southeast Asia.
