This workshop will take place on Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th, with three sessions throughout the weekend. It will be hosted by Against the Grain Farm in Zionville, NC, and Jeff "The Barefoot Farmer" Poppen.

Session 1: Biodynamic Composting Workshop lead by Jeff Poppen and Against the Grain Farm
- How biodynamic preparations can be used to enliven compost piles to further vitalize the farm
- Ingredients and methods used to make compost on the farm
- Importance of compost for growing nutritious crops
Session 2: Biodynamic Stirring and Spreading of Horn Manure Preparation "BD500" lead by Jeff Poppen and Against the Grain Farm
- Horn Manure preparation, "BD500" -- how it's made, how it's put out and its influence on the farm
- Importance of the balance between BD500 and Horn Silica, "BD501"
- How these preparations help to grow food in living soil, emphasizing vitality on the farm
Session 3: Open Discussion with Jeff "The Barefoot Farmer" Poppen 10:30am-12:30pm
