All students and friends of Spikenard are invited to join in three days of gratitude and celebration of the bees, the landscape, and our own inner transformation. This is a time we get to know and work with the hives from the periphery through three days of special lectures and activities, art and music making, and tending of sanctuary land, the "body" of the beehive.
One central activity of this festival workshop is learning Beelining… a very old, traditional method of attracting and then following bees in the field to locate wild beehives! It is such an incredible experience, that is not only very fun and useful, but also gives us a completely new perspective of the foraging activity of the hive.
In another special hands-on activity for this workshop, we will be making and burying the autumn biodynamic preparations, the remedies for healing landscapes of all kinds.
Homemade organic snacks and lunch are provided throughout the workshop.
