JPI is Sponsoring a fall workshop at Perennial Roots Farm (PRF) in Accomac, Virginia.

PRICE IS SLIDING SCALE. PAY WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD! If you are able to contribute more, you help cover costs for others to attend and when there's a surplus from the event, it all goes directly to supporting JPI's work extending biodynamics over as much of the earth as possible.

The mission of biodynamics has always been one of fostering health for the purpose of universal human freedom.

The goal of the “farm organism” is so that every farm might source from within its own boundaries, all its own fertility needs that stream in from the cosmos.

One of the most transformative effects of the biodynamic preparations is not just on the soil, but on the imaginations of those who practice making the preparations. New possibilities open up when you practice creating with your own hands the fruits of a remarkable intuition.

Join us at the Josephine Porter Institute for a hands-on practical experience learning some of the subtle aspects of making biodynamic preparations.

Join us from Friday evening October 17,18,19 for food, fellowship, and inspiration! There are work trade options available. Folks who are able to help for an extra day before and/or after will receive a 50% refund on their ticket purchase.

Ticket prices cover food costs and relevant overhead costs. If you are able to pay more, this helps others who can less afford to attend. Thank you for your generosity supporting our nonprofit work of healing the Earth one acre at a time!

Note: this is physical activity on a working farm. Bring everything you need to stay healthy and hydrated. If you intend to participate in our work comp offer, you must be able to lift 50lbs above your waist regularly and to expend physical energy working, digging, moving heavy things. Thank you for understanding!

What to bring: We always email everyone the schedule, and expect everyone to look out for each other and for themselves. Bring a good hat, jacket, gloves, boots, mug, water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen -- and anything else that would make you more comfortable such as a favorite chair or cushion. But most importantly, bring a good attitude! :)

Thursday will be a pre-conference work day digging up 2000+ cow horns, emptying them, and two lectures from Stewart Lundy, and two full meals. If you'd like to attend this specialized day, please understand that this is a heavy work day.

Friday work comp people can show up early to help with set up and other preparatory work. Friday late afternoon begins with opening ceremonies with Teresa O'Shaughnessy, farm tour and evening cookout.

Saturday is our all-day workday. We will be digging pits, filling cow horns with manure, burying preparations, eating, and learning about biodynamics. Multiple lectures (while working with our hands) from Stewart Lundy. Group photo.

Sunday morning, wrapping up preparation work, a gardening Q&A session with Stewart Lundy, Natalie McGill, and Teresa O'Shaughnessy. Brunch and closing ceremonies.
