Since the sixties, intensive scientific work on special biodynamic issues like soil fertility, compost, biodynamic preparations, food quality, etc has been done. Long term trials like the DOK-trial from FibL/CH or the fertilization trial of Forschungsring/DE are showing this on a scientific level. One of the biggest challenges of biodynamic farming for a scientific discussion are the biodynamic preparations. As they are often seen as the main attraction, a huge amount of scientific examinations are about the preparations and their special mode of action.

In short, you will find the influence of the biodynamic preparations on different levels: physically if you look to different amounts of components, on a life level, looking to processes and activities e.g. in enzymatic systems, and on an organization level when systems are organizing themselves. Perhaps you will find the fourth level when a farm and its processes will spiral towards a more and more individualized way of working together.

The cost of the webinar is $20 for the general public and $10 for Biodynamic Association members. To receive your discount:

Presenter:

Uli Johannes Koenig is a scientific co-worker at the Forschungsring in Darmstadt/Germany. For 30 years his main interest are the biodynamic preparations, compost, and soil fertility. He began his scientific work at the academic level at the University of Goettingen and now is working with a wide range of methods, such as analytics but also complementary holistic methods. He is also active in advisory work and education of farmers.
