Bio

Gabriela Gonzalez-Martinez is a nature-worker, life-passionate, and spiritually-guided 36-year-old woman. She has been connected with agriculture in both poles, since the very organic side to the current technified and conventional agriculture. She has seen the results of both worlds, which pushed her to go deeper in the understanding of why we do what we do with the soil and how to work with it in the most efficient way to bring it and keep it to life. Composting had been a passion for her since her early teens. She started to walk her own path of self thought in her early 20s and got involved with biodynamics in 2009. In 2012, she started Compostas del Duero, a biodynamic composting facility, to produce high-quality compost to help the regeneration of degraded soils in the Duero Valley in Michoacán, mostly for production of berries and avocados. She currently works in colaboration with a team of biodynamic producers and consultants in México to promote the practice of biodynamic agriculture. She is also the Treasurer of the Board of Impulso Biodinamico de México, recently created Biodynamic Association of México.
