Zuri is passionate about working towards healing earth and people. She co-organizes seasonal festivals at the Cresset Center on Uhrich Farm (her great grandparent’s organic/biodynamic farm in Johnstown, CO). Zuri is also engaged in developing and offering water education (including Goethean water phenomenology), and growing community at the Cresset Center and beyond. She founded an initiative called Environmental Consciousness Action (ECA) and is engaged in artistic and community collaborations in Los Angeles, Colorado. and Detroit through Heal AuRT (nonprofit). Zuri has a master’s in environmental conservation and a wide range of life experiences from sloth and elephant behavioral research, to Earthship inspired building in Cameroon, to fish parasitology, to Emergency Medical Technician work, to being a co-worker at Elderberries 3Fold Cafe, and co-organizing multiple How We Will Forums. These diverse experiences have shaped Zuri’s approach to nature, education, and building community.
