Suggestions for a successful overwintering of hives and new start in the spring
During this time of contraction, we will learn everything we need to know to support the hive organism in forming a healthy winter cluster and all the wonderful ways we can support the bees to make it strongly through the winter.
Topics include honey and feeding, hive wrapping, treatments and pests, ventilation and insulation, and tips for getting the honeybees through the starving time until the dandelions bloom in the spring.
This class can be taken as a stand-alone course or as part of our comprehensive four-module Spikenard Biodynamic Beekeeping Training.
Wonderful home-cooked organic lunches and snacks are provided.
