NOFA-NY’s Winter Conference is one of the largest organic food and farming conferences in the nation – gathering hundreds each year to meet old friends, learn new skills, provide support, and celebrate community. And, while we have made the difficult decision to host a virtual conference, 2022 will be no different! We will miss seeing all of you in person, but we look forward to applying what we learned during last year’s virtual conference to make it an even better experience.

Teachers Conference – Calling It Like It Is: Uncovering and Dismantling Racism in the Waldorf Movement

Fri, 01/21/2022 to Sat, 01/22/2022
Region:
East Coast

Background

The protests that followed the killings of members of our Black communities in spring 2020 served to wake many people up to the realities of racism in America—realities to which the Waldorf movement has not been immune. Accepting the fact that racism exists within Waldorf Education and taking on the work of recognizing and eradicating it from our classrooms is a goal to which we must commit ourselves if we are to truly educate our children (and ourselves) toward freedom.

Michigan Organic Food and Farm Alliance Hosts the Organic Intensives, January 8th, 2022.

Since MOFFA held its first Organic Intensives in March, 2015, attendees have consistently found the sessions to be of greater than expected value. On January 8th, MOFFA will offer the seventh annual Organic Intensives educational event, providing current and future farmers, as well as serious gardeners and concerned consumers, an opportunity to focus intensely on subjects for which there is substantial interest and a desire to reach a level of deep understanding.
