In this webinar, we will explore the biodynamic concept of the farm as a living “organism” is not a mere metaphor. Explore general soil-building principles, how to develop a garden space, hedges, buffer strips, wildlife habitat, plant “elders”, and consider the macrocosmic connection to the horizontal environment, Nature, and to the vertical environment: the cosmos. Acquire principles for imparting a living "skin" to your farm or garden.
Compost Maker, Land Steward, Earth Champion, and Lifetime Members of the Biodynamic Association (BDA) are invited to gather with Biodynamics author Coree Entwistle and BDA staff for a conversation salon on April 10, 2019 8:30-10:00pm EDT, 7:30-9:00pm CST, 5:30-7:00pm PDT
Learn about the birds flying through your farm and how they might be a benefit to your operation. Hear from and connect with innovative farmers, avian researchers, and other experts about practices that attract beneficial birds for pest control and manage pest birds. In addition, participate in a demonstration hedgerow planting and learn how this habitat can benefit your farm. You will gain valuable experience in planning for practices aimed at attracting beneficial birds and other natural enemies.

Biodynamics is a holistic approach that composes farm organisms to support the health and vitality of soils, plants, animals, and humans. Farmscaping is an ecological method that enhances on-farm habitats to conserve beneficial organisms, including pollinators and predators. Biodynamic Farmscaping harmonizes the rhythms of farm organ systems to prevent imbalances. Learn to harmonize farms by observing farm organisms and creating farmscapes.
