How and When to Register

If you are a member of the Biodynamic Association (BDA), please login to your account prior to beginning your registration. Logging in will enable your member discount. If you are interested in becoming a member of the BDA and registering for the conference at a discounted price, please follow these steps:
- Become a member at any level.
- Log out of the website after completing your membership payment transaction.
- Come back to complete your registration at this page. Be sure to log back in before you begin your registration after becoming a member. Logging in will enable your member discount.

Children at the Conference
We are a family-friendly conference and encourage children to participate!
Children ages 0-5 attend the conference free with a parent. A flexible childcare space will be available for ages 0-5, with a qualified childcare provider available. All children in this age range who are out of diapers can be left with the childcare provider without their parent/guardian. Children who are not yet potty-trained, however, should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times when in this space. Children ages 6-15 may attend the conference for a fee. See the Conference Registration Rates above for more information. Children’s workshops for ages 6-15 will be held from Thursday morning to Sunday morning and will be led by biodynamic educators and Waldorf teachers. Children will be supervised for the entirety of the main conference events and Thursday’s pre-conference events but will need to be picked up by their parents during mealtime. A full schedule is available here.
Members: Members of the Biodynamic Association receive an extra 10% off (Soil Builder members) or 20% off (Seed Sower and above members) of registration to the main conference. Become a member at any level before you register to receive your automatic discount. Membership is available on a sliding scale starting for as little as $5 and includes many benefits in addition to registration discounts, including online access to the Biodynamics journal and the Biodynamic Directory. Early-Bird: Register between August 16 and September 25 and save $100 off the main conference full price. Members receive their additional 10% off (Soil Builder members) or 20% off (Seed Sower and above members) of this price.
Scholarships: Thanks to the contributions of generous and dedicated donors, assistance with conference registration fees is available to those with financial need. Through the Biodynamic Scholarship Fund, we will award as many scholarships as possible. If you need a little financial help, we encourage you to apply for a scholarship. Scholarship applications are due Friday, August 30th. The first round of scholarship notifications will be announced Monday, September 16th. Applications submitted after August 30 and applications not accepted in the first round of awards will be considered on a rolling basis.
If you plan to attend the conference regardless of scholarship, we strongly encourage you to register before August 15 to take advantage of our best conference rates. Apply for a scholarship by August 30, and we will notify you with the status of your scholarship on September 16. Those who have registered and later receive a scholarship will receive a refund for the difference.
Volunteers: Volunteers help our conference run smoothly and efficiently. If you love working with people and have a passion for biodynamics, we would be delighted to have your help on one or more days! In appreciation for those who volunteer for 8 hours or more at the conference, we offer a partial conference refund, processed post-conference. We recommend you apply to volunteer by September 25.
Payment, Transfers, Cancellation, and Refunds
Payment is due in full within 7 days of registration. If you do not wish to pay by credit card when you register, please mail a check made out to Biodynamic Association to PO Box 557, East Troy, WI 53120, and include a copy of your registration confirmation. If we do not receive your payment within 7 days, we reserve the right to cancel your registration. To discuss a payment plan option, contact us by phone or email.
Your registration may be transferred to another person without a processing fee until October 31, 2019. Contact the registrar with a transfer request.
Cancellation requests must be provided in written form, either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by postal mail by October 31, 2019. You are responsible for ensuring that we receive your written request. Upon receipt of a cancellation request, we will reply by email or phone with a written or verbal acknowledgment.
Registration fees are refundable, minus a $20 administrative fee, if a written request is received by October 31, 2019. Due to our financial obligations to the facility and presenters, we are unable to offer any refund for any reason if emailed or postmarked after October 31, 2019. We will do our best to respond to refund requests in a timely manner; however, we reserve the right to issue any refund after the conference is completed.
