Douglas Wylie began his career as a farm hand at Thomas Bros. vegetable farm in Ontario, Canada, in 1972. Over the years, he worked in various trades, leading to an extensive career in mechanical engineering as both an independent contractor and manager for numerous international corporations.
In addition to his engineering background, Douglas is trained in holistic health and nutrition. Since 1992, he has been a dedicated student of Rudolf Steiner’s work and anthroposophy, including the practice of aiodynamics. He co-founded the Carrville Community Garden (2002-2010), which served as a site for living research into Steiner’s principles of social economics.
Douglas has held several leadership roles within the community, serving as Secretary to the Biodynamic Society in Ontario, the Treasurer to the Anthroposophical Society in Canada, and a member of the North America Collegium of the School of Spiritual Science (Social Sciences Section).
Currently, Douglas farms in Aromas, California, alongside his wife, where he continues his work in the unfolding of social economics.
