Excerpts:

"In biodynamics we are not only concerned with fertilizer but with the skillful application of all the factors contributing to soil life and health. So it is necessary to understand that life is more than just chemicals (inorganic and organic). Life and health depend on the interaction of matter and energies. A plant grows under the influence of light and warmth, that is, of energies, and it transforms these energies into chemically active energies by way of photosynthesis."

"From the dynamic point of view, the problem of pests is one of the most interesting and instructive. A biological balance is disturbed, and as a consequence there is a degeneration. There is an onset of pests and diseases. Nature herself liquidates that which no longer has the capacity for life. So pests are actually a warning from nature that the original forces are being lost and that one has transgressed against a state of balance."
